Native Dugout Canoe Refurbishment

Jonathan and his wife Tanya refurbished 4 canoes for the Island County Historical Society.

Each canoe was hand-dug by local Native American tribes. These are racing canoes, built for speed and agility.

The Telegraph carried 11, is approx. 55 feet long and dates to 1905. The other 3 canoes are of similar age.

On permanent display at the Island County Historical Museum in Coupeville, WA.
